FAQs
We are a police partnered organization that began in 2009 with an aim to reduce youth offending. After achieving successful results, our multi purpose facility, Tutaki, was opened in 2013 which provides youth, social and health services as well as our community gym. While the Lions Den project continues to give young people opportunities to change their path, it has now been developed into a place that the whole community can benefit from.

No. We really do mean that you can cancel your membership at any time. We don’t like the games other gyms play with advanced written notice, lengthy contracts and technical jargon designed to confuse and ultimately take more of your money from you. We want the Lion’s Den to be an experience that is completely different, and as a result, we don’t have contracts, nor will we ever have contracts.
If you’d like to cancel your membership, please send us an e-mail to info@lionsdengym.org.nz and we will cancel your plan for you. When you cancel your membership, we will cancel the next reoccurring charge on your account and you will have access to the gym for the remainder of your paid term.
We can pause memberships for a maximum of 3-months in any calendar year. Any longer than this, and we recommend cancelling your membership and signing back up when you are ready to return. If you are on a direct debit membership, all membership holds are pro-rated based on your fortnightly billing rate.
You must be at least 14 years old to become a member. Anyone under the age of 18 years will need to have their membership terms and conditions signed by a parent or caregiver.
